Kevin Owens Dominates, Sasha Banks Makes History at TakeOver: Rival

(Everyone looks so young!)
10 years ago today, NXT TakeOver: Rival took place at Full Sail University in Florida, delivering two major title changes that shaped the future of WWE.
In the main event, Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn to capture the NXT Championship, ending Zayn’s brief reign. The match was a brutal one-sided assault, with Owens relentlessly powerbombing Zayn until the referee stopped the match, solidifying Owens as one of NXT’s most dominant forces.
The night also featured a historic moment in the women’s division, as the ‘Four Horsewomen’ of NXT—Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley—competed in a fatal four-way for the NXT Women’s Championship. Sasha Banks emerged victorious, defeating Charlotte to win the title and further cementing the rise of WWE’s women’s revolution.
Amazing to see how big everyone on that poster still is today!

A breakdown of this week's Monday Night Raw, highlighting the best and worst moments from the show.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III drew parallels between Jalen Hurts’ Super Bowl LIX victory and Cody Rhodes' ongoing quest to “finish his story” in WWE. The comparison highlights how both men have fought through adversity to reach the pinnacle of their respective industries.
Just a couple of QB1’s finishing their stories.
The greater challenge is what comes next, but @JalenHurts is certainly built for it.
Congrats to the @Eagles on becoming the #SBLIX Champions 🫡🏈

A new report details the latest WWE talent cuts and contract expirations. The list includes notable names who were released or whose contracts were not renewed, raising speculation about where these wrestlers may end up next.
Vince McMahon, Shane MacMahon, and The Undertaker were all spotted at the Super Bowl. Vince made a rare public appearance while dealing with ongoing legal battles.

AEW
Miro (formerly Rusev in WWE) has officially been released from AEW. Reports suggest that Miro personally requested his release and has been in talks about a potential return to WWE. His departure comes after a lengthy absence from AEW programming, adding further speculation about his next move.
Following Miro’s AEW departure, Bloodsport promoter Josh Barnett publicly extended an invitation, saying, “Tell him to reach out, we’re always looking for new blood.” Barnett’s comments suggest that Miro could have an opportunity to test his skills in a different kind of wrestling environment.
A new report sheds light on Ricky Starks’ contract situation with AEW. After being absent from television for a significant amount of time, details are emerging about whether Starks is still with AEW or if his future lies elsewhere.
Malakai Black is now a free agent, with his name officially removed from AEW’s roster page. The development has led to speculation about where he might land next, as fans wonder if WWE could be an option or if he’ll explore independent and international opportunities.
