January 17, 1999 - Goldberg Electrifies Souled Out

26 years ago today, WCW Souled Out took place in Charleston, West Virginia, with Goldberg defeating Scott Hall in a chaotic “Ladder Stun-Gun” match. The rules required the winner to retrieve the Stun Gun from a ladder and use it on their opponent.

Disco Inferno interfered, pushing Goldberg off the ladder and helping Hall grab the weapon, but Goldberg fought back with a Spear and Jackhammer. As Bam Bam Bigelow made his way to the ring, Goldberg ended the match by stunning Hall, securing a dramatic victory after 17 minutes and 45 seconds.

Goldberg’s move to throw the stun gun in the air and Scott Hall falling for it only to get speared is quite the silly ending to this match.
