📢 Announcement

Morning Dirt Sheet has officially crossed 100 subscribers! Thank you all for the continued support. When I started Morning Dirt Sheet in December, my goal was to give you an easy way to catch up on everything happening in WWE and AEW. I’m excited to keep improving this newsletter and making it even better for you all.

To celebrate 100 subscribers, I’m updating the referral prize for referring 3 people. It’s still stickers (I’m on a tight budget right now), but now it’s 5 Pixel Art Wrestlers from this awesome Etsy store, PixelStickArt. Growing up with WWF and Super Nintendo, I’ve always been a sucker (can you dig it?) for pixel art, and when I came across this Etsy store, I instantly fell in love with these stickers.

Now, if you refer 3 friends, family members, tag partners, rivals—whoever—you’ll get Pixel Art stickers of: Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Mankind, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan!

3 Referrals for all 5 stickers!

Thank you again for all the support!

The nWo Returns at No Way Out

23 years ago today, WWF No Way Out took place in Milwaukee, marking the highly anticipated return of Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash to WWF after years away. The trio made their shocking comeback as the New World Order (nWo), with Jim Ross acknowledging on commentary that "they built the old WCW, but did more to destroy that entity and brand."

The nWo wasted no time making an impact, interfering in the main event Undisputed Championship match, where Chris Jericho retained his title against Stone Cold Steve Austin. After the match, Hall performed another Stunner on Austin and Hall spray-painted the initials "NWO" on Austin's back while Nash and Hogan held him down.

The Camera Guy must be “The Fourth Man” of the nWo!

Elsewhere on the card:

  • The Rock defeated The Undertaker in a grudge match, thanks to outside interference from Ric Flair.

  • Kurt Angle defeated Triple H to steal his Undisputed Title shot at WrestleMania X8, setting up a major shake-up in the title picture.

The return of Hogan, Hall, and Nash sent shockwaves through the WWF, officially setting the stage for WrestleMania X8, including the legendary Rock vs. Hogan showdown.

🔮 WWE Raw Preview

Tonight 8pm EST on Netflix

WWE

A breakdown of NXT Vengeance Day 2025, highlighting the standout moments and questionable booking decisions. From major title matches to surprise appearances, this review dives into what worked and what left fans divided.

With WWE Raw set to move to Netflix in 2025, there have been questions about how viewership numbers will be measured. Netflix clarified, “This is a matter of the runtime changing live versus on SVOD... When calculating Views, we implement a ‘Blended Views’ approach which calculates views for each individual cut (with its own runtime), and then takes the sum total.” The explanation aims to address concerns about how Raw’s live and on-demand audiences will be tracked.

A new deep dive explores the controversies surrounding Hulk Hogan, from his backstage reputation to real-life scandals. While Hogan remains one of wrestling’s biggest stars, his legacy is complicated, and this piece examines why many fans and wrestlers have mixed feelings about him.

AEW

AEW star Cope (formerly Edge) shared insights into his promo philosophy. "The one thing when, even when I talk to younger talent, 'How do you approach a promo?' I find one thing that Adam, the person, actually believes. Then, hopefully, the fiction should follow that truth, and that's generally what I try to do: find one thing that I can bite into, not as a performer, but as a human being. Go, 'Right, okay, I actually believe that.' So if I can focus on that, that's gonna come out with some real intent, and hopefully, everything else kind of falls in line."

Following the success of AEW Grand Slam Australia, AEW has already locked in plans for a return. While no official date has been announced, Tony Khan and AEW executives are reportedly pleased with the event’s turnout and financial success, making Australia a key international market for the company moving forward.
