AEW Collision Beach Break Pt. 2 Results - May 17th, 2025

AEW Collision: Beach Break aired live from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, delivering a stacked card with wild brawls, rising stars making statements, and an emotional tribute to a wrestling and football legend. Megan Bayne powered through Anna Jay in the opener, Kyle Fletcher continued to impress in singles action, and the Learning Tree survived a brutal Chicago Street Fight. The night also featured a heartfelt tribute to Steve “Mongo” McMichael and a fiery challenge from Mike Bailey to Kazuchika Okada.

Megan Bayne def. Anna Jay. Jay threw everything she had at Bayne, including a crossbody to the floor and a Blockbuster in the ring, but Bayne powered through the chaos, ultimately hitting Fate’s Descent after countering the Queenslayer. Outside interference from Harley Cameron and Penelope Ford led to a brief ringside brawl, but it was Bayne who stood tall in the end.

Nigel McGuinness announced he will team with Daniel Garcia to face FTR at Double or Nothing.

Kyle Fletcher def. AR Fox. Fletcher and Fox traded high-impact offense in a fast-paced bout that had the crowd on their feet. After surviving a flurry from Fox, Fletcher sealed the win with a sheer drop brainbuster following a Helluva Kick and leg lariat.

Brody King, Tomohiro Ishii & Bandido def. The Don Callis Family. The trios match delivered a mix of chaos and strong style, with Bandido and Ishii pulling out big moves to neutralize Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta. Brody King finished things off with a cannonball to Romero for the pin, but a post-match attack by Lance Archer and Trent was thwarted by The OutRunners.

Paragon and the Grizzled Young Vets exchanged words backstage. Cole addressed the target on his back before Roddy and Kyle fired back at GYV’s disrespect, setting up a confrontation for next week.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey def. Blake Christian. Bailey absorbed punishment from Christian and Lee Johnson’s ringside distractions, but battled back with a moonsault and his signature Tornado Kick. After the win, Bailey called out Okada for a Continental Championship match.

Okada responded to Bailey’s challenge. Okada entered to a huge ovation and coolly accepted, saying, “I prove it, bitch!” before LFI ambushed Bailey from behind, leaving him laid out as Okada looked on.

Jon Moxley accepted the challenge for Anarchy in the Arena.

(Moxley is even bleeding in his promos now 🤦‍♂️)

The Learning Tree def. Gates of Agony in a Chicago Street Fight. A wild, weapon-filled brawl saw Bill and Keith use bricks, drywall, and pool cues against Kaun and Toa. After a back-and-forth melee that spilled all over ringside, Big Bill sealed the win with a chokeslam on Kaun through a table in a match that echoed classic '90s hardcore chaos.

Tony Schiavone hosted an emotional tribute to Steve “Mongo” McMichael. Joined by Mongo’s wife Misty and Dean Malenko, Schiavone announced AEW’s partnership with the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Ric Flair appeared to honor Mongo’s toughness, football legacy, and the strength of his wife during his ALS battle.

Broadcast feed cut out for Max viewers near the end of the show. Tony Khan confirmed on social media that the issue only affected Max, not the TNT west coast feed. The show is expected to be available for streaming in full by morning.

Kevin Owens Shocks Cena in Main Roster Debut

10 years ago today, NXT Champion Kevin Owens made his WWE main roster debut on Raw from the Richmond Coliseum in Virginia. Owens interrupted John Cena’s weekly United States Championship Open Challenge, but instead of accepting the match, he blindsided Cena with a Pop-Up Powerbomb and stomped on the U.S. Title. The bold attack set the stage for a high-stakes Champion vs. Champion match at the upcoming Elimination Chamber special on WWE Network.

This debut wasn’t just memorable—it kicked off one of the most impactful rookie runs of the modern era.
