Cactus Jack Bids Farewell to ECW at Big Ass Extreme Bash

29 years ago today, ECW Big Ass Extreme Bash took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, marking Cactus Jack's final ECW appearance before departing for WWF to become Mankind.

In his last ECW match, Cactus Jack defeated Mikey Whipwreck with a piledriver onto a steel chair. After the match, the ECW faithful gave Foley a standing ovation, acknowledging his contributions to the promotion’s hardcore legacy. In true ECW fashion, Foley didn’t leave in a somber moment—he danced out of the arena alongside Stevie Richards and The Blue Meanie, a bizarre yet fitting sendoff for one of the most unpredictable wrestlers in ECW history.

Just weeks later, Mick Foley debuted in WWF as Mankind, kicking off a legendary career that would see him capture multiple championships and etch his name into wrestling history.

Also speaking of Cactus Jack, Chelsea Green just paid tribute to him at Smackdown.

AEW Collision Results - March 8th, 2025

AEW Collision aired Saturday night on TNT and Max, featuring the final stop before Revolution. Daniel Garcia defended the TNT Championship, Adam Copeland and Jon Moxley had final words before their title clash, and tensions escalated across multiple feuds heading into Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Hook defeated Jack Banning, Starboy Charlie & Titus Alexander. Total domination from the trio, with each man dishing out punishment. Shibata sealed the victory with a penalty kick.

Adam Copeland Sends a Final Message to Jon Moxley. Copeland said Moxley is scared to lose the AEW World Championship because, without it, he has no power. Cope vowed that he doesn’t want the cowardly Moxley at Revolution—he wants the old-school fighter. Acknowledging that this could be his last shot at a world title, Copeland promised to make it count.

Momo Watanabe defeated Serena Deeb. Mercedes MonƩ joined commentary to scout her upcoming opponent. After the match, Mercedes confronted Momo, shoving the TNT title in her face. In response, Watanabe leveled MonƩ with a head kick, followed by a Meteora, and held the belt high.

Harley Cameron defeated Tatevik Hunanyan. The newcomer attacked Cameron before the bell, but Harley rallied back with a running knee before finishing with Her Finishing Move.

Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong defeated The Infantry. A competitive tag match saw O’Reilly make a crucial hot tag to swing the momentum. The Undisputed Kingdom secured victory with their high-low combo finisher on Carlie Bravo.

Jon Moxley Sends a Warning to Adam Copeland. Moxley said he and Cope are the last of a dying breed, and when he gets his hands around Copeland’s neck at Revolution, there will be no mercy.

Hologram defeated Dralistico. A fast-paced lucha match saw Dralistico attempt to steal a win with his feet on the ropes, but the referee caught him. Hologram capitalized with a hook kick and a spinning Torture Rack bomb for the victory.

FTR & The Kingdom Set Up a Rematch. FTR and The Kingdom had a face-to-face confrontation. Cash Wheeler apologized for last week’s heated exchange, but Dax Harwood refused to back down, claiming FTR was the superior team. Kyle O’Reilly admitted the previous match had controversy, so he proposed a rematch for next week.

The Outrunners defeated Premiere Athletes. As The Outrunners set up for their finisher, The Hurt Syndicate’s music played, causing a brief distraction. Tony Nese tried to capitalize, but Turbo Floyd rebounded, leading to The Outrunners hitting Total Recall on Ari Daivari for the win.

Daniel Garcia defeated Lee Moriarty to retain the TNT Championship. A technical wrestling battle ended in a war of submissions. Moriarty nearly won with Border City Stretch, but Garcia reversed into a Sharpshooter. When Moriarty gouged the eyes to escape and reapplied his hold, Garcia countered into a piledriver for the win. After the match, Shane Taylor Promotions surrounded the ring, only for The Undisputed Kingdom to rush down and even the odds. AEW then booked an 8-man tag match for the Revolution pre-show.

Kenny Omega Issues a Final Challenge to Konosuke Takeshita. Omega dared Takeshita to prove himself by defeating him man-to-man without outside interference.
