AEW Dynamite Double or Nothing Go-Home Results - May 21st, 2025

AEW Dynamite aired live from the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, just days ahead of Double or Nothing. Hangman Page and Will Ospreay delivered a powerful in-ring exchange to open the night, while The Elite, Swerve’s crew, and the Death Riders ignited chaos in an escalating faction war. Elsewhere, MJF locked in a major alliance, and Mina Shirakawa scored a big win as tensions rose in the women’s division.
Will Ospreay and Hangman Page faced off ahead of Double or Nothing. The pair traded emotional promos in a passionate exchange about their shared desire to win the Owen Hart Tournament and capture AEW World Championship gold. Ospreay vowed to earn respect and fight for his family, while Hangman revealed this match was deeply personal and necessary for his redemption. The segment ended with mutual respect and a shared beer, setting the stage for Sunday’s showdown.
“Every single one that has said that they’re the best, I proved them wrong. Wanna know why?
I am the best in the f*cking World, bruv.”

Swerve in Our Opps def. Bucks of Death. In a chaotic trios match, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, and Powerhouse Hobbs outlasted Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks in a wild back-and-forth brawl. The finish saw Swerve roll up Matthew Jackson as Joe choked out Nicholas, giving their team the win. Post-match, the Death Riders attacked Swerve’s team until Shibata, Willow Nightingale, and Kenny Omega all stormed the ring in a dramatic sequence of saves and finishers. Claudio Castagnoli’s late interference prevented a One-Winged Angel through a table, as the sides were finally set for Anarchy in the Arena.
MJF joined The Hurt Syndicate. In a contract signing hosted by MVP, MJF officially aligned himself with The Hurt Syndicate, flanked by Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, and legal counsel. The segment was interrupted by Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, who promised retribution for MJF’s manipulations and warned that day-one loyalty would triumph in the end.
Definitely using this in the future

Ricochet def. Anthony Bowens. Ricochet played dirty, using scissors behind the referee’s back before landing the Spirit Gun for the win. After the match, Mark Briscoe tried to ambush him with a stretcher attack, but Ricochet narrowly escaped.
Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter brawled during a tournament faceoff. In a fiery sit-down with Renee Paquette, Hayter accused Mone of being destined to lose, citing her NJPW Strong loss. Mone responded by blasting Hayter with an elbow, but Hayter fired back with the Hayterade. Toni Storm arrived to scout from commentary ahead of the main event.
Mina Shirakawa def. Julia Hart. After a hard-fought contest filled with reversals and near-falls, Mina secured the win with an arm-trapped cradle. Post-match, Hart attacked her, only for Skye Blue to run in for the save—before quickly turning on Hart with a German suplex and double spinning backfists. Storm and Mina brawled over the title, ending with Mina trapping Storm in a figure four around the ring post.
Jamie Hayter finally hit a Hayterade on Mercedes and Mercedes looks like she got hit by a fucking truck😭😭😭😭😭😭 #AEW#AEWDynamite

The Elite & Matt Hardy Film the First Stadium Stampede Match
5 years ago today, AEW pre-taped the main event of Double or Nothing at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida—the debut of the now-iconic Stadium Stampede match. The spectacle featured The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page) teaming with Matt Hardy to take on The Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz. Combining cinematic elements with wild brawling throughout the empty football stadium, the match became one of AEW’s most memorable pandemic-era productions.
It officially aired the next day on pay-per-view, but the action was filmed on May 22 over a multi-hour overnight shoot that pushed the boundaries of what a wrestling match could be.
I know Blood & Guts gets all the attention now, but this was peak creativity during a tough time for the industry 🎥
