AEW Collision Results - May 22nd, 2025

AEW Collision was taped from the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and featured contract signings, surprise post-match brawls, and a wild main event. Adam Cole joined the commentary booth for the evening, while FTR and Nigel McGuinness set the tone for a heated showdown at Double or Nothing.

FTR, Daniel Garcia/Nigel McGuinness sign their Double or Nothing contract. Tony Schiavone moderated a tense in-ring contract signing between FTR, Daniel Garcia, and Nigel McGuinness. Garcia vowed to fight for everyone FTR has wronged, while Nigel demanded they leave him and Schiavone alone after Sunday. The confrontation erupted into chaos, with Garcia locking Cash in a Sharpshooter and Nigel applying the London Dungeon on Dax until security intervened.

The Don Callis Family def. Bandido & The OutRunners. In a high-paced trios bout, Bandido and the OutRunners nearly pulled off an upset, but interference from Lance Archer turned the tide. Takeshita and Roppongi Vice sealed the win with a creative overhook tombstone/Dude Buster combo.

Mercedes Moné def. Reyna Isis to retain the AEW TBS Championship. Isis pushed Moné with a Codebreaker and several near falls, but Moné recovered, locked in the Statement Maker, and forced the tapout. Post-match, Jamie Hayter appeared to confront Moné but was blocked by security.

Kyle Fletcher def. Jay Lethal. Lethal controlled much of the early action until interference from Lance Archer allowed Fletcher to swing momentum. Fletcher survived a figure-four and finished Lethal with a sheer drop brainbuster. The Don Callis Family attacked Lethal after the bell until The Paragon made the save.

The Paragon def. Grizzled Young Veterans. Strong and O’Reilly outlasted a hard-hitting effort from GYV, culminating in a High/Low combo and a guillotine to secure the win. A strong showing that reinforced their chemistry ahead of Double or Nothing.

Josh Alexander def. AR Fox. Fox dazzled with a moonsault and plancha, but a missed 450 allowed Alexander to capitalize. A German suplex, powerbomb, and the C4 sealed the win for the Callis Family’s newest powerhouse.

Komander & Speedball Mike Bailey def. La Facción Ingobernable. This explosive tag match featured dives, reversals, and brutal strikes. After withstanding LFI’s aggression, Komander and Bailey hit stereo shooting star presses and a spinning hook kick/rope-walk SSP combo to claim victory.

Kazuchika Okada confronted Speedball Mike Bailey. Okada appeared post-match and offered no respect—flipping off Bailey, who responded with a head kick and stole Okada’s title belt, leaving Collision with a bold statement ahead of Double or Nothing.

Will leave you with this!

Brodie Lee and Jon Moxley clash over the AEW Title

5 years ago today, AEW presented Double or Nothing 2020 during Memorial Day weekend, airing primarily from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. In the main event, The Elite and Matt Hardy took on The Inner Circle in the inaugural Stadium Stampede match, a cinematic brawl filmed across TIAA Bank Field that became an instant cult classic. Elsewhere on the card, Jon Moxley retained the AEW World Championship in a brutal war with Mr. Brodie Lee, and Hikaru Shida captured the AEW Women’s World Title from Nyla Rose. Cody defeated Lance Archer to become the first TNT Champion, with Mike Tyson presenting the belt live at ringside. The night also saw Brian Cage debut and win the Casino Ladder Match.

Wrestling had gone silent during the early pandemic—but this show reminded fans that creativity, spectacle, and heart would carry AEW forward.
