🗓️ On This Day - 1995

Dustin Rhodes & Blacktop Bully Fight On Top Of a Moving Truck

30 years ago today, WCW Uncensored took place in Tupelo, Mississippi, delivering one of the company’s most bizarre pay-per-views. The show opened with a ‘King of the Road’ match, featuring Dustin Rhodes and The Blacktop Bully battling on the back of a moving 18-wheeler truck. Both men were fired after the match for blading without approval.

The main event saw Hulk Hogan defeat Big Van Vader in a leather strap match, but with neither man willing to take the pin, Ric Flair—who wasn't even in the match—ended up getting strapped to Hogan and taking the finish instead.

Paul, if you’re reading this WWE needs to bring this match type back. Just imagine Cody vs Cena, Wrestlemania 41, a ‘King of the Road’ match down the Vegas Strip for the Undisputed WWE Championship! Book it Paul!

WWE NXT Results - March 18th, 2025

WWE NXT aired live from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, featuring an NXT Underground match between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe, Chelsea Green defending the Women’s United States Championship against Sol Ruca, and a heated tag team clash between The D’Angelo Family and The Culling.

Chelsea Green retains the WWE Women’s United States Championship. Green defended her title against Sol Ruca in a competitive match, with interference from Piper Niven and Alba Fyre playing a major role. Ruca nearly won with a moonsault to the outside but was caught by a chop block from Green, who capitalized by hitting the Killswitch to retain.

Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams exchange words. Evans approached Williams backstage, saying he now understands Trick’s mindset, but Williams dismissed him, telling Je’Von he’ll never be NXT Champion. Lexis King then taunted Evans, only to get decked in response.

Stephanie Vaquer’s first challenger steps up. The new double champion addressed the NXT crowd, stating she came to NXT to make history. Before she could name her next opponent, Jordynne Grace interrupted—only for Jaida Parker to ambush Grace and claim she’d be the one to challenge Vaquer next.

Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura defeat Hank & Tank. In a hard-hitting tag match, Briggs and Inamura outlasted Hank and Tank, with Inamura securing the win with a diving splash on Tank Ledger.

Ridge Holland and Eddy Thorpe bond over frustration. After Thorpe voiced his frustration about not being accepted, Holland agreed, saying Ricky Saints was just another flashy sports entertainer like Trick Williams. Ridge vowed to handle his business, hoping Eddy would do the same.

The Culling defeat The D’Angelo Family. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino, and Adriana Rizzo represented the Family against Brooks Jensen, Izzi Dame, and Niko Vance of The Culling. Just as the match reached its climax, masked skull men appeared on the screen, attacking Tony D’Angelo backstage. The distraction allowed Niko Vance to hit an Argentine DDT on Crusifino for the win.

Jacy Jayne defeats Karmen Petrovic. Jayne won after a competitive bout, taking advantage of a distraction from Ashante Adonis, who encouraged Petrovic to use a chair. When she refused, Jayne capitalized with a rolling elbow for the win.

Ricky Saints overcomes Ridge Holland. Saints and Holland had a physical bout, with Ridge controlling the majority before Saints rallied back, hitting Roshambo for the pin. After the match, The Culling confronted Saints, telling him he wasn’t measuring up.

Trick Williams wins NXT Underground against Eddy Thorpe. The Underground fight started with grappling before Trick threw Thorpe into the steel steps. After Thorpe attempted a triangle choke, Williams deadlifted him into a powerbomb to the outside. Trick then landed the Trickshot and followed up with ground-and-pound, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Oba Femi and Trick Williams come to blows, Darkstate Attack! Williams called out Femi post-match, prompting the NXT Champion to enter the ring. However, the lights cut out, and the masked skull men—now revealed as "Darkstate"—appeared. Before they could act, Je’Von Evans stormed in, leading to a chaotic pull-apart brawl between Trick, Je’Von, and Oba. Trick shoved Evans, who responded by hitting an Ace Crusher on Femi, setting the stage for more tension in the NXT title picture.

WWE will host its first-ever Roast of WrestleMania at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with comedian Tony Hinchcliffe leading the event. The lineup includes WWE stars like Sami Zayn, Braun Strowman, Paul Heyman, and The Miz. The roast will not be televised.

💡 Bully Ray Says AEW is Underutilizing Christian Cage. Ray voiced his opinion that AEW isn't using Christian to his full potential, stating, “I have been a believer, or it has been my opinion, that Christian is grossly underutilized in AEW.”
