WWE NXT Results for March 25th, 2025

Wednesday, March 26th, 2025
Good morning. Today we have a look back on the day wrestling changed forever when Vince bought WCW, plus NXT results from Orlando, AEW Dynamite preview, Big E’s hilarious Chad Gable quote, and rumors of Mina Shirakawa’s AEW signing. We’ve also got creative updates from Saraya and Bischoff, and much more. Let’s dig in!
🗓️ On This Day - 2001
The Night WWE Bought WCW
24 years ago today, Vince McMahon stunned the wrestling world by announcing on a live simulcast between WWF Raw and WCW Nitro that he had purchased WCW. In a historic twist, Shane McMahon appeared on Nitro to reveal he was the new (kayfabe) owner, setting up their father-son clash at WrestleMania X-Seven. This marked the end of the Monday Night Wars and was WCW’s final televised event under Turner ownership.
That night’s Nitro was billed as a “Night of Champions,” with Booker T defeating Scott Steiner to become WCW World Champion once more, Sting submitting Ric Flair in the main event, and Kidman & Rey Mysterio winning the Cruiserweight Tag Titles. On Raw, Steve Austin and The Rock teamed up to defeat The Undertaker and Kane in the show’s closing match ahead of their WrestleMania showdown.

WWE NXT Results - March 25th, 2025
WWE NXT aired live from the Capitol Wrestling Center, where Stephanie Vaquer defended both of her championships, Lexis King retained the Heritage Cup in controversial fashion, and tensions continued to rise across the women’s division ahead of Stand & Deliver.

Stephanie Vaquer retains the NXT Women’s Championship. Vaquer and Jaida Parker opened the show with a technical and physical contest. Just as Parker seemed to gain momentum, Jordynne Grace appeared at ringside to talk trash, allowing Vaquer to counter and roll Parker up for the win. After the match, Fatal Influence attacked Vaquer and left her laying.
Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams exchange words. Backstage, Evans questioned why Trick hadn’t taken out Oba Femi yet. Trick said titles change people and Je’Von wouldn’t understand until he held one. Evans promised he would understand after tonight.
Ricky Saints sits down with Vic Joseph—until Shawn Spears interrupts. Saints spoke about his confidence and struggles breaking into wrestling, but was cut off by Spears, who questioned why Ricky wasn’t recruited into The Culling. Spears warned Saints about making enemies, suggesting he doesn’t belong in NXT. The Culling arrived, and Spears made it clear—if Ricky comes for the title, he knows the outcome.
Hank and Tank run into the Motor City Machine Guns. The veteran team wished them luck and hinted at a future showdown as they passed backstage.
Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont defeat Hank & Tank. After a flurry of double-team offense from Hank and Tank, Dupont and Igwe rallied. Igwe secured the win after slamming Hank Walker for the pin.
Lexis King retains the NXT Heritage Cup by count-out. In a competitive match, Je’Von Evans took control with high-flying offense. Lexis distracted the ref, allowing Oba Femi to powerbomb Evans into the apron. Evans couldn’t beat the count, giving King the win. Oba stalked Evans in the ring as the lights revealed Dark State watching from the crowd. Trick Williams ran in but accidentally hit Evans with Trickshot. Referees intervened as the segment ended in confusion.

Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley defeat Meta-Girls. With Sol Ruca and Zaria watching, Dolin and Paxley scored the win after hitting Cemetery Drive on Jakara Jackson.
Motor City Machine Guns advise Hank & Tank. Sabin and Shelley offered encouragement, reminding the younger team that everyone has a different path.
Ethan Page defeats Andre Chase. Chase put up a strong fight, kicking out of an avalanche powerslam and nearly winning with a tornado DDT. Page ultimately put him away with Twisted Grin.
Stephanie Vaquer retains the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Fallon Henley came close to dethroning Vaquer, but interference from Jazmyn Nyx backfired. Vaquer countered a late attempt and hit SBB for the win. Fatal Influence beat down Vaquer again post-match, but Jordynne Grace made the save. She helped Stephanie to her feet, returned her titles, and held on to the Women’s Championship just long enough to spark a staredown. Jaida Parker ambushed Grace, but Jordynne fought back and cleared the ring. Backstage, the entire women’s locker room argued over who deserves the next title shot. Ava Raine promised to figure it out.

WWE News, Rumors & Updates
On Raw Talk, Big E cracked a hilarious line while supporting the theory that Chad Gable is actually “El Grande Americano.” “Let's not go down this route. I know Chad Gable's body. I've seen that man in many locker rooms and many wrestling rings. I could pick that body out of a lineup of 1,000 men, and don't make it weird, okay?... I spent a lot of time around half-naked men and also naked men. This was not what I intended when I started out in this journey, but it's a byproduct of this profession, okay?”
Wrestling Inc’s weekly Raw breakdown highlights the return of Rhea Ripley as a high point, while critiques centered on the sluggish pacing of the opening segments. The review also praises the Drew McIntyre–Damian Priest build heading into WrestleMania.
Eric Bischoff believes Karrion Kross could be positioned as a wildcard in the ongoing Cena–Rock storyline. “Karrion Kross needs something ... I just feel something, my instinct tells me something about that guy. His character to me feels like it's off about three degrees. It just needs to be fine-tuned a little bit, but he's a dangerous guy, he's good in the ring. There's something a little mysterious about him and that's projected intentionally, but I think if they dialed that back just a little bit and brought a little bit more authenticity to him, unpolish him just a little bit, I think he could be a really cool character.”

AEW News and Rumors & Updates
Saraya celebrated the launch of her new memoir Hell with Boots On, offering fans a deeper look into her wrestling journey, personal struggles, and AEW comeback. The release was marked by appearances and signings across the UK.

AEW’s two-night “Slam Dunk” edition of Collision delivered solid numbers, with viewership boosted by strong NCAA tournament lead-ins.
According to Tokyo Sports, Mina Shirakawa is set to leave Stardom and head to the United States once her contract expires. While early speculation suggested a possible WWE move, Fightful Select now reports that Shirakawa is expected to sign with AEW, with a press release coming soon. She previously made multiple AEW appearances in 2024 and dropped the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Title to Mercedes Moné at Dynasty in January 2025.
