Today we have NXT results for the Roadblock Go-Home show, AEW Dynamite preview for the Revolution Go-Home show, a look back on some 5-star Goldberg matches, news on Acclaim returning to video game production, MJF on Happy Gilmore 2, MJF on how much his contract is for (spoiler: it’s a lot), and much more!

🗓️ On This Day - 2017

Goldberg Squashes Kevin Owens for the Universal Title at Fastlane

8 years ago today, WWE Fastlane took place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featuring one of the most controversial Universal Championship matches in WWE history. In the main event, Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens in just 23 seconds to capture the Universal Championship.

Owens attempted to stall before the match officially began, rolling out of the ring multiple times to frustrate Goldberg. However, as soon as the bell rang, Chris Jericho’s music hit, distracting Owens long enough for Goldberg to capitalize with a Spear and Jackhammer for the quick victory. The win set up Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 as a Universal Championship match, which Brock Lesnar would win in 4 minutes 45 seconds! Goldberg’s two championship matches, within 30 days of each other, lasted a total of 5 minutes!

WWE NXT Results - March 4th, 2025

Roadblock Go-Home

WWE NXT aired live from the Performance Center on The CW, featuring a North American Championship main event and the final build toward next week's Roadblock special.

Sol Ruca & Zaria def. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. The Women’s United States Champion and her tag partner were taken down in an intense opening match. After Green suffered a busted nose, Ruca and Zaria capitalized with a Moonsault Doomsday Device. Ruca then hit the Sol Snatcher on Green for the pin.

Jaida Parker def. Kelani Jordan. Jordan started strong, showcasing her high-flying ability, but Parker took control with a brutal backbreaker. Jordan attempted a 450 Splash but missed, allowing Parker to secure the win with a running knee. Post-match, Parker called out Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer ahead of their upcoming Roadblock match.

Jordynne Grace def. Cora Jade via referee stoppage. Grace dominated the match early with her power, but Jade managed to send her into the turnbuckles and gain momentum. However, after a rough landing, medical officials deemed Jade unable to continue, giving Grace the win.

The Hardy Boyz Segment. Matt and Jeff Hardy made a special appearance to give advice to NXT’s tag teams. They encouraged Hank Walker & Tank Ledger to take things to the extreme. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura interrupted, leading to a brawl. Fraxiom then appeared to confront The Hardys ahead of their match next week.

Trick Williams def. Kale Dixon via referee stoppage. Williams wasted no time, blasting Dixon with a Trick Shot kick right at the bell. He followed up with mounted punches until the referee had to step in and call the match. Afterward, Eddy Thorpe appeared on the balcony to call out Trick Williams.

Shawn Spears def. Tony D’Angelo to win the NXT North American Championship. In the main event, Spears took advantage of D’Angelo’s injured back, which worsened after interference from Izzi Dame and Adrianna Rizzo. A chaotic ringside brawl distracted D’Angelo, allowing Spears to hit the C4 and pin him for the title.

(A bit of a botched finisher…but a new champ either way)

Acclaim, the legendary video game publisher known for its groundbreaking titles in the ‘80s and ‘90s, is officially returning with a bold vision aimed at revitalizing the gaming landscape."​

MJF shared that his audition for 'Happy Gilmore 2' caught the attention of Adam Sandler, who found it highly entertaining. MJF stated, "This is a true story. I'm not fabricating anything or being hyperbolic. Adam Sandler himself saw my audition and he was apparently laughing like a hyena and then he said, 'I want this guy to not audition for the other role I auditioned for originally, but I'd like him to audition for this role.'"​
