Good morning. Today we have a look back on WWE Roadblock 2016, NXT Roadblock results including a huge womens match, and a preview of AEW Dynamite. Plus, updates on Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE status, Seth Rollins on Becky Lynch’s future, and Tony Khan on AEW Revolution’s main event lineup. Triple H Retains WWE Championship at Roadblock

9 years ago today, WWE Roadblock took place in Toronto, Canada, originally planned as a house show titled March to WrestleMania: Live from Toronto before being made available on the WWE Network.

In the main event, Triple H defended the WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose, with Ambrose coming close to victory before Triple H narrowly escaped with the win. The event also featured Brock Lesnar defeating Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in a 2-on-1 handicap match, The New Day retaining the WWE Tag Team Championships against The League of Nations, and Charlotte Flair defending the WWE Divas Championship against Natalya in what would be the last televised defense of the title before it was retired at WrestleMania the following month.

WWE NXT Roadblock Results - March 11th, 2025

NXT Roadblock aired live from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, delivering a night of championship clashes and intense rivalries. The show featured Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer battling in a winner-take-all main event, Oba Femi defending the NXT Championship against TNA’s Moose, and The Hardy Boyz putting the TNA Tag Team Titles on the line.

Hardy Boyz def. Fraxiom (TNA World Tag Team Championship). Axiom and Nathan Frazer took the fight to the veteran Hardyz, using their speed to keep the champions off balance. After near falls on both sides, Jeff Hardy landed a Twist of Fate on Axiom before hitting a Swanton Bomb on Frazer to retain the titles.

Jordynne Grace def. Roxanne Perez. Perez targeted Grace’s knee and nearly secured the win with a high-flying attack, but Jordynne powered through, countering Pop Rox with a Juggernaut Driver to get the victory.

Oba Femi def. Moose (NXT Championship). A hard-hitting battle saw both men unleash power moves, including a superplex exchange. Moose speared Femi but couldn’t put him away, and the champion responded with a thunderous powerbomb to retain his title.

Je’Von Evans def. Ethan Page (Street Fight). The two brawled throughout the arena, using chairs, tables, and steel steps. Evans sealed the win with a chair-assisted springboard Ace Crusher. Post-match, masked attackers ambushed him.

Stephanie Vaquer def. Giulia (Title-for-Title Match). Vaquer and Giulia traded counters in a high-intensity clash, with Vaquer surviving the Arrivederci and a Michinoku Driver. She landed multiple SBBs to score the victory, becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion. Confetti rained down as she celebrated her monumental win.

Recent speculation suggests Shinsuke Nakamura might depart WWE to return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling and participate in Hiroshi Tanahashi's retirement run. Dave Meltzer commented, "I don't know when his contract is up. Would they allow him to go to New Japan for a one-shot? If it was Vince, I would say no. With these guys, I would say if he wants and pushes hard enough."​

🎤 Seth Rollins Addresses Becky Lynch's WWE Future. Seth Rollins clarified recent rumors about Becky Lynch's status, stating, "She took a few months off, she did some television projects, and so she's gearing up to get ready to come back... I will say she is not retired. She's not mentioned anything about retirement. There are future plans for her in professional wrestling."​

🧠 Triple H Enlists Paul Heyman to Mentor Bron Breakker. Triple H has tasked Paul Heyman with mentoring Bron Breakker to enhance his promo and character development. He remarked, "He's a young guy, incredibly athletic, great character, he's a sponge. I have Heyman spend a lot of time with him to help develop him with his promos, to help develop his character, to help push him in a direction."​

🛑 Kevin Nash on John Cena's Heel Turn Compared to Hulk Hogan's. Kevin Nash shared his perspective on comparisons between John Cena's recent heel turn and Hulk Hogan's iconic turn, stating, "I think that this would be really monumental if we didn't know that Cena was leaving in eight months. John's great. But John's too precise on what he does. When he showed up with the no tan [look] at WWE Elimination Chamber... It was a giveaway to me that something was up. I don't know. The people are comparing to Hogan's turn. I'm like, I disagree. There wasn't stab you heat in the building in Toronto."

🔮 AEW Revolution 2025: Future Directions. AEW Revolution 2025 delivered memorable moments, including Kenny Omega's emotional title win, Toni Storm's intense match against Mariah May, and Will Ospreay's brutal cage match with Kyle Fletcher. The event's aftermath sets the stage for evolving storylines and rivalries in AEW.​

🧪 AEW Collision to Air Two One-Hour Episodes During NCAA Tournament Weekend. AEW Collision will experiment by airing two one-hour episodes on March 22 and 23, immediately following NCAA basketball tournament games. Dave Meltzer noted, "The idea is to give them the benefit of two—rather than do a two-hour show with the second hour being from midnight to 1 AM, which the ratings would fall, but they're going to give them one hour each night, coming right after the tournament game, so in theory, they should get two big ratings."
