WWE Raw Results for April 21st, 2025

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025
Good morning. Whelp that was fast. Yesterday I was wondering what WWE was going to do with Bron Breakker after dropping the IC title, and now we have our answer, and it’s awesome. Let’s hope Rollins/Breakker/Heyman take on Rock/Cena/Travis Scott because it’ll be an automatic handicap match since The Rock can’t be bothered to show up (Fein, Fein, Fein 🤦♂️).
Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, and Seth Rollins:

Today we have a look back at ECW CyberSlam, results from last night’s Post-WrestleMania Raw, and a preview for tonight’s NXT. John Cena opened Raw by announcing his retirement tour and calling himself the “last real undisputed champion,” only to eat an RKO from Randy Orton. Paul Heyman kept stirring things up by denying he turned on Roman, while Kenny Omega surprisingly backed Cena’s title win. Elsewhere, Becky Lynch’s full-time return continues to spark debate, Cathy Kelley might be stepping into a new WWE role, Karrion Kross shut everyone up with a killer promo that left announcers stunned, and much more. Let’s dig in!

Dreamer’s ECW Dream Turns into a Nightmare

What a PPV Poster!
25 years ago today, ECW held CyberSlam at the legendary ECW Arena in Philadelphia. In a night filled with chaos and title changes, Tommy Dreamer finally won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Tazz in the main event. But the celebration was short-lived. Just moments later, Justin Credible interrupted Dreamer’s emotional speech and challenged him on the spot. In a shocking turn, Dreamer’s longtime valet Francine turned on him, allowing Credible to hit the “That’s Incredible” and steal the win.
This marked a brutal betrayal and a crushing moment for Dreamer, who had long declared he never wanted to win the ECW title—only to have it ripped away minutes after finally doing so.

The new WWE Champion opened the show, demanding an apology from the fans and claiming he will retire with the title once his 27 remaining appearances are up. Cena said Cody Rhodes failed to save WWE from him. His promo was interrupted by Randy Orton, who dropped him with an RKO and left the title on his unconscious body.

In a chaotic rematch from WrestleMania, Morgan pinned Valkyria after an Oblivion to capture the gold. Post-match, Lynch turned on her partner, attacking Lyra with multiple Manhandle Slams and berating her for the loss.
Rusev Returns and Attacks Alpha Academy. As New Day prepared to defend their titles against Alpha Academy, Rusev made a surprise return, destroying Otis and Akira Tozawa with a Machka Kick and Accolade. New Day avoided the attack and escaped.

IYO SKY def. Stephanie Vaquer via Disqualification. After a respectful challenge from the NXT Women’s Champion, the two squared off in a non-title match that ended when Roxanne Perez attacked IYO. Giulia then appeared and laid out Vaquer. Rhea Ripley ran in to clear house, forcing Giulia and Perez to retreat.
Jey Uso Celebrates World Title Win. The new WWE World Heavyweight Champion addressed the crowd, saying he’ll work every week as champion. Sami Zayn came out to congratulate him, and “Big” Jim Uso joined them to celebrate.
Logan Paul Responds to WrestleMania Victory. In a post-show interview, Paul boasted about his win over AJ Styles. Backstage on Raw, Styles admitted the loss hurt but said he’d move on. Karrion Kross taunted him, warning he couldn’t recover from it.
Dominik Mysterio def. Penta to Retain the Intercontinental Championship. Dom retained the title after interference from JD McDonagh, solidifying the Judgment Day’s unity after Finn Balor initially appeared cold earlier in the night.
Pat McAfee Attacked by GUNTHER. GUNTHER snapped and choked out Michael Cole’s commentary partner Pat McAfee in retaliation for being mocked over tapping out at WrestleMania. McAfee was tended to by medics but walked away under his own power.
Rollins, Heyman, and Breakker form new trio. Rollins celebrated what he called his WrestleMania win, flanked by Heyman. Punk returned and brawled with Rollins, nearly attacking Heyman before Rollins laid him out with a Blackout. Roman Reigns returned to a massive reaction and speared Seth Rollins—only to be blindsided by Bron Breakker. Breakker destroyed both Roman and Punk as Rollins revealed him to be his new enforcer. Rollins, Heyman, and Breakker stood tall over their fallen rivals to close the show.

WWE News, Rumors & Updates
WrestleMania 41 saw some big wins and unfortunate losses. Joe Hendry was a surprise victor, proving his worth against Randy Orton, while "a seismic shift in the landscape of professional wrestling" was felt by Lucha Libre fans as AAA is now WWE. Iyo Sky made history as the first Asian superstar to win a match at WrestleMania, but it was a rough night for the SmackDown Tag Division. Dominik Mysterio emerged as Intercontinental Champion, providing a glimmer of hope for AAA's integration into WWE. Cody Rhodes, however, found himself on the losing end of a beef with The Rock.
Paul Heyman stirs the pot, mocking WWE legend Vince McMahon while referencing AEW's home city, Jacksonville. This came during a heated exchange on the Pat McAfee Show following WrestleMania 41. Heyman, who played a key role in the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins, also claimed he didn't betray Reigns. "I didn’t touch Roman Reigns. What did I do? I got shoved to the canvas..." Heyman also criticized CM Punk for putting him in a compromising position against Reigns.
WrestleMania 41 Night 2 had its share of highs and lows. From John Cena's 17th WWE Championship win to the electrifying Triple Threat Women's World Championship, fans were left on the edge of their seats. However, not all resonated well with fans, like the absence of The Rock in the Rhodes vs Cena showdown and the questionable return of Becky Lynch. "Becky Lynch has started to punch down, and I hate it," reveals Angeline Phu, while Daisy Ruth lamented on The Rock's no-show.
Bayley's unanticipated exit from a Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 41 was all part of a plot to bring Becky Lynch back into the ring, according to WWE's Chief Content Officer, Triple H. In a post-show press conference, he assured fans that "Bayley will be just fine. A true pro, cannot say enough good things about her. True pro." The staged 'mystery attack' that led to Bayley's removal has reportedly stirred some sympathy among WWE insiders.
Cathy Kelley, popular WWE backstage interviewer, is reportedly broadening her on-screen horizons. Sources from Pro Wrestling Insider Elite suggest she's been training at the WWE Performance Center for an undisclosed new role. Speculation is rife about a potential managerial role, but nothing is confirmed yet. Kelley's progression from WWE social media to in-ring action remains under wraps, with no details about her training length, progress, or potential debut date. One thing's for sure, Cathy Kelley's WWE journey is far from over.
Ahead of WrestleMania 41, WWE stars Braun Strowman and Tiffany Stratton teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Fanatics, surprising 25 kids with their own championship belts and a shopping spree at WWE World. The duo cheered as each child made a special wrestling entrance. While Strowman didn't appear at this year's WrestleMania, Stratton had a notable presence, successfully defending her title against Charlotte Flair despite rumors of real-life tension between the two.

AEW News and Rumors & Updates
John Cena recently made history at WrestleMania 41 by winning his 17th world championship. Fellow world title collector Kenny Omega, known for his reigns in AEW, TNA, NJPW, and beyond, shared his thoughts on Cena's victory during a Twitch stream. "I'm a huge Cena fan. To me, I don't see it as a bad thing if it's done correctly," Omega commented. Cena, now the Undisputed WWE Champion, has notably vowed to 'ruin wrestling' in his new role.
