WWE Raw Results for April 14th, 2025

Tuesday, April 15th, 2025
Good morning. Today we look back at one of WWE’s most chaotic experiments — the 2020 Money in the Bank match held at WWE HQ. We’ve also got results from last night’s WWE Raw, the final stop before WrestleMania, and a preview for tonight’s NXT Stand & Deliver go-home show. Plus, Triple H explains how Cena’s heel turn came to life, The Rock sparks rumors with a t-shirt, and Reddit is lighting up over Shane McMahon, Becky Lynch, scrapped creative plans, and much more. Let’s dig in!
🗓️ On This Day - 2020
The Most Bizarre Bank Heist in WWE History
5 years ago today, WWE aired one of its most unique and chaotic Money in the Bank matches ever—filmed cinematically inside Titan Towers in Stamford, Connecticut. With the world in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE pivoted to a wild, pre-taped format that blended action, comedy, and cinematic mayhem.
Men and women competed simultaneously in two intertwined matches that saw them fight from the ground floor of WWE headquarters all the way up to the rooftop, where the briefcases were suspended above a ring. Along the way, they crashed through conference rooms, gym equipment, and even a Vince McMahon cameo.
Asuka outlasted the women’s field—which included Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Dana Brooke, Carmella, and Lacey Evans—to claim the contract. On the men’s side, Otis stunned everyone by winning the briefcase after AJ Styles fumbled it into his hands during a scuffle with King Corbin.

Also competing were Aleister Black, Daniel Bryan, and Rey Mysterio—both of whom were hilariously tossed off the roof (and later revealed to be fine).
It was weird, it was wild, and it was one of the most unforgettable Money in the Bank matches of all time.

How it started
GUNTHER sent a terrifying message to Jey Uso. Michael Cole opened the show in the ring with World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. The Ring General dismissed Jey Uso’s claims of confidence and said he was fully in control when he bathed in Jimmy Uso’s blood. He promised to not only beat Jey at WrestleMania for the fourth straight time but to call their mother afterward and tell her how much he enjoyed it.
“In 37 years of my life, I have never lost control. Two weeks ago, when I took a bath in your brother's blood, I was in full control and I LOVED IT” - GUNTHER
GUNTHER JUST DELIVERED ONE OF THE GREATEST PROMOS OF HIS CAREER 🔥

How it ended
Rollins stood tall after chaos erupted between Reigns, Punk, and Heyman. Roman Reigns addressed the crowd, accusing Paul Heyman of betrayal for helping CM Punk. Seth Rollins interrupted and claimed Heyman made a conscious choice to side with Punk. Roman attacked Seth, then shoved Heyman down after a feigned moment of trust. Punk ran in for the save but got Speared. Rollins returned with a steel chair, took out both Punk and Reigns, and stood over them as Heyman cowered in fear.

WWE News, Rumors & Updates
A seemingly innocuous Instagram post by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has sparked buzz about a potential new signing for WWE: Jeff Cobb. The Rock's choice to sport a New Japan Pro Wrestling shirt has fueled speculation, given that Cobb, an IWGP Tag Team Champion, has recently been listed on WWE's internal roster. "The idea that Cobb...would be leaving for WWE was not unexpected," says Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, though he highlights the unexpected nature of the departure.
Despite holding the Women's United States Championship and being a fan favorite, Chelsea Green is reportedly not on the scheduled card for WrestleMania 41. Fightful Select cited WWE sources revealing Green won't host or defend her title at the event. While there's potential for a Green-centric skit or segment, nothing is set in stone yet. This comes after Green lost a match to Zelina Vega and defended her championship against Sol Ruca last March.
WWE and Mattel have announced the extension of their multi-year licensing agreement for action figures and related products. The partnership, which kicked off in 2010, has seen Mattel's WWE Main Event Action Figure Series become 'the longest-running continuous action figure assortment in history.' The renewal comes during a period of significant global expansion for WWE, bolstered by a new partnership with Netflix.

Triple H, recently opened up about John Cena's dramatic heel turn during the Elimination Chamber on the High Performance podcast. He explained his reasoning for the unexpected shift, saying "What if we pulled the level that no one wanted to ever pull and we turn you heel," because it felt like a missed opportunity if they didn't. Cena, surprisingly, was on board, citing it as "challenging and a juicy role."
In an interview on the High Performance podcast, Triple H discussed the origins of his iconic water-spitting entrance. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that the idea came from a spontaneous act to rile up the crowd during his villain phase. "When I was a bad guy... I spit the water out at everybody in the crowd. But I noticed the first time I did it, they went crazy...".
WWE's Triple H recently hinted at South America and Mexico as the company's future destinations. Following a successful stint overseas for WrestleMania 41 and the announcement of their return to Paris, France for WWE Clash In Paris, the company is eager to explore more of the globe. "We haven't even touched South America, going to Mexico, all these things that are upcoming and we will be doing," said Triple H. However, exact return dates to Mexico and South America remain unannounced.

AEW News and Rumors & Updates

Posting images from AEW Collision Grand Slam: Australia, where he was injured, Matthews captioned, "Fire still burns... 73%." The Australian born wrestler suffered an ankle injury during his match against Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. Despite his absence, Matthews' tag team partner Brody King has been soldiering on solo, recently participating in the 2025 Owen Hart Memorial tournament.
