Roman Reigns Retains at Fastlane, The Fiend Returns
4 years ago today, WWE Fastlane took place inside The ThunderDome in Florida. Roman Reigns successfully defended the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan in the main event, with Edge serving as the special enforcer. Elsewhere, Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus in a hard-hitting No Holds Barred match, and The Fiend made his shocking return, appearing grotesquely burned and helping Alexa Bliss defeat Randy Orton in an intergender match.
For as much as I don’t miss The Thunderdome and COVID, I do miss Bray and The Fiend… but also don’t miss Vince’s booking decisions of The Fiend.

Jerry “The King” Lawler provided an update on his health following his 2023 stroke. While he says he feels great overall, he admits lingering effects persist. "...the effects of the stroke are always there. The whole right side of my body is damaged and I can't write too good, I can't draw worth a darn, but I can still sign an autograph, thank goodness. Other than that, I feel fine." Lawler also noted he’ll likely need a knee replacement soon.
Amid swirling speculation over her status at WrestleMania 41, Alexa Bliss reassured fans she’s doing well. Reports indicate she’s expected to be part of Wyatt Sicks plans, with WWE reportedly having “great creative” lined up for her post-Elimination Chamber.
John Cena’s recent heel promo on SmackDown raised eyebrows after he pointedly excluded The Rock, leading to rumors of internal shifts in WrestleMania 41 creative. WWE has denied any changes to the card, but fan speculation remains high about where Cena fits into the event.
WWE is reportedly working on major plans for this summer’s Money in the Bank 2025 with the location being announced as Intuit dome in Los Angeles, California. This will be the 16th Money in the Bank pay-per-view (I can’t believe it’s been that many) of all time and the first taking place inside the state of California.
AEW News and Rumors & Updates
Tony Khan spoke about AEW’s return to smaller venues and why he enjoys the energy they bring. "...We’ve gone to some really great venues across different cities. Daily’s Place will always be number one in our hearts, I think, but lots of great places across America where we get that same energy... The wrestling has been great, the wrestlers are doing a great job, our staff, and we’ve been putting great shows together."
