The Streak Stays Alive, The Showstopper Says Goodbye

15 years ago today, WrestleMania XXVI took place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with 72,219 in attendance. In the night’s emotional main event, The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels in a "Streak vs. Career" match, bringing his WrestleMania record to 18-0 and officially retiring HBK. After kicking out of multiple finishers, Michaels defiantly slapped Taker in the face, only to fall to a final jumping Tombstone.

Elsewhere on the card, John Cena made Batista tap out to win the WWE Championship, and Chris Jericho retained the World Heavyweight Title against Edge. Jack Swagger won the stacked Money in the Bank ladder match (what a career rocketship that was for Swagger), while Bret Hart finally got revenge on Vince McMahon with help from the entire Hart family. In the opening bout, ShoMiz retained the Unified Tag Titles, and in a lumberjack-filled tribute, Bruce Hart served as special guest referee.

According to Wrestling Inc, WWE is planning the return of its all-women's pay-per-view, Evolution, with the event expected this summer. "After speaking with sources, we can confirm WWE is set to bring back the highly anticipated 'Evolution' PLE this summer. The return of the all-women's event is expected to be officially announced before WrestleMania."

🍻 Seth Rollins Says Becky Lynch Decided to Have a Baby After Beer Bash with Stone Cold

In a lighthearted story, Seth Rollins reflected on a night in 2020 when Becky Lynch shared beers with Stone Cold Steve Austin on Raw. That night, Lynch told Rollins, “You know what? I think it’s time I take some time off to have a baby.” The couple would go on to welcome their daughter later that year.
