🗓️ On This Day - 1998

Chaos Reigns at WCW Uncensored

27 years ago today, WCW Uncensored took place in Mobile, Alabama, featuring a night of hard-hitting action and a controversial main event. Booker T, Chris Jericho, and Diamond Dallas Page all retained their respective championships, while Bret Hart defeated Curt Hennig via Sharpshooter. In the co-main event, Sting defeated Scott Hall to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, while The Giant defeated Kevin Nash by disqualification after interference from Bryan Adams.

The night ended in chaos as Hollywood Hogan and Randy Savage battled in a steel cage match, which ended in a No Contest after The Disciple interfered on Hogan’s behalf. Sting descended from the rafters to aid Savage, only for Savage to turn on Sting and exit the cage, leaving the match without a clear winner.
