Today we have a look back at The Undertaker’s final match in the Boneyard, WWE Raw results from Scotland, new WrestleMania 41 plans, updates on AEW’s creative direction, and CM Punk’s appearance on Stephanie’s new WWE show. Plus, McIntyre vents about his WrestleMania status, The Undertaker turns 60, and much more. Let’s dig in!

🗓️ On This Day - 2020

The Last Ride Begins in a Boneyard

4 years ago today, WWE filmed the now-iconic Boneyard Match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles. Taped on location in Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the match aired as the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night One and marked a new era of "cinematic" storytelling in wrestling. With dramatic editing, moody lighting, and a custom Metallica soundtrack, the match blended action and production in a way WWE had never fully explored before.

It also turned out to be The Undertaker’s final bout. After burying Styles and riding off into the night, The Deadman would later announce his retirement in The Last Ride docuseries, bringing an epic 30-year career to a close.

Cinematic matches could be a lot of fun when done right, and this one absolutely delivered—especially during the pandemic. A personal favorite (and completely ridiculous) example is the House of Horrors match between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton.

Yesterday we had a first for the entire tournament, as (3) Seth Rollins and (6) Bray Wyatt tied! Unlike the March Madness basketball tournament ties here are fair game, and like Roman/Seth/Punk at WrestleMania this year, both Seth and Bray are moving on to make the next round a Triple Threat match (holy shit! holy shit!)

Today we have the final matchup of Round 2 as (2) Cody Rhodes takes on (7) Kevin Owens!

WWE Raw Results - March 24th, 2025

WWE Raw aired live from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, with two Intercontinental Championship matches, a searing John Cena promo, and CM Punk making his intentions clear ahead of WrestleMania 41.

John Cena vows to ruin wrestling; Cody Rhodes responds. Cena kicked off the show with a venomous promo blaming fans for inspiring him to destroy wrestling and retire as the final true champion after winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania. Cody Rhodes interrupted, laid the title at Cena’s feet, and dared him to take it. Cena backed off twice, leaving Rhodes to declare that the champ is the one in the ring—not the man walking away.

The Usos defeat A-Town Down Under. Jey Uso and his surprise partner “Big” Jim Uso reunited to take down Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. After the match, GUNTHER attacked the Usos but was run off by Big Jim wielding a steel chair.

Liv Morgan and Carlito stir up trouble backstage. Liv gave Raquel Rodriguez a pep talk ahead of her title match, then encouraged a downcast Dominik Mysterio. Carlito interrupted to announce his own Intercontinental Title ambitions but refused to share his apple.

Lyra Valkyria retains the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Valkyria overcame Raquel Rodriguez in a close bout, with interference from Liv Morgan inadvertently costing Raquel. Post-match, Morgan attacked Valkyria but Bayley made the save.

WrestleMania Women’s World Title match reshuffled. Adam Pearce tried to clarify that IYO SKY would defend her title against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania, not Rhea Ripley. But after interruptions from all three women, Pearce announced Ripley will get her rematch next week—winner faces Belair at WrestleMania. A chaotic brawl followed, ending with Bianca hitting KOD on Ripley over the ropes.

El Grande Americano defeats Dragon Lee. In a fast-paced battle, the masked Americano (definitely not Chad Gable) pulled off a shocking win after removing Dragon’s mask mid-match and locking in an ankle lock for the submission victory.

CM Punk sends a warning ahead of Friday's contract signing. Punk said his road to WrestleMania has been full of setbacks, but he’ll be in London on SmackDown to sign the contract for his triple threat match with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. He promised to be the man who ends both of their careers—just as he helped begin them.

Bron Breakker retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship by disqualification. Penta gave Breakker a tough fight, but Judgment Day interfered, leading to a DQ finish. Post-match, Penta turned on Judgment Day, hitting Mysterio with a Van Daminator, only for Finn Balor to lay him out with a chair.
